On this tour, we'll begin by picking you up from your accommodation and head to the Plaza de Armas to visit the impressive Cusco Cathedral. We'll continue to the nearby Koricancha Temple, notable for its fusion of Inca and Spanish architecture. Then, by minibus, we'll explore the archaeological sites of Sacsayhuamán, Qenqo, Puca Pucara, and Tambomachay, known as the Bath of the Inca for its water worship ceremonies. The tour will conclude near the Plaza de Armas after approximately four and a half hours.
The tour begins between 6:00 and 6:30 a.m. with pickup from your accommodations to the Sacred Valley of the Incas. We'll visit notable sites such as Chinchero, known for its church, archaeological site, and the artisanal process of wool spinning and dyeing. We'll then explore the Moray archaeological complex, comprised of four elliptical galleries that served as an agricultural research center during the Inca era. We'll continue to the Maras Salt Mines, famous for their salt mines dating back to pre-Columbian times.
Afterward, we'll enjoy a buffet lunch in Urubamba before heading to Ollantaytambo, known as one of the last remaining Inca villages. Here, we'll explore the Temple of the Sun, admire carved stone blocks, and appreciate the beauty of the local people in traditional costumes, as well as the views of the Patacancha and Willoq Valleys.
At the end of the tour, we'll walk to the station to board the train to Aguas Calientes at 4:36 a.m. The trip will take approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. At the Aguas Calientes station, the hotel staff will be waiting to escort us to our rooms.
At 8:00 a.m., the staff will direct us to the meeting point to take us to the bus station that will take us to the Machu Picchu Historic Sanctuary. At 9:00 a.m., the guided tour begins, where we will appreciate the majesty of the landscape surrounding the citadel, highlighting its enclosures and stairways that connect the different levels of the buildings. The guided tour will last 2 hours and 30 minutes.
After the tour concludes, we will have time to take photographs of the highlights of Machu Picchu. We will then descend to the town of Aguas Calientes for lunch and some shopping. Finally, we will head to the Aguas Calientes station to board the train at 3:20 PM or 4:12 PM to Ollantaytambo. There, staff will be waiting to take us back to Cusco. Our arrival point will be Regocijo Square, estimated between 7:00 PM and 8:00 PM.
The excursion to Humantay Lagoon begins with pickup from your accommodation in Cusco. Then, we'll head by bus to the impressive Andes Mountains. After a two-and-a-half-hour journey, we'll stop in Mollepata, at almost 3,000 meters above sea level, where we'll enjoy a hearty breakfast.
Continuing our journey through spectacular landscapes, we'll arrive at the Soraypampa campsite, at 3,900 meters above sea level, from where we'll begin a hike to Laguna Humantay. This turquoise lagoon, surrounded by majestic glaciers, offers a unique landscape. After approximately two hours of climbing to 4,200 meters above sea level, we'll return to Soraypampa and then take the bus back. We'll stop in Mollepata to enjoy a buffet lunch before returning to Cusco.
The excursion culminates with your return to Regocijo Square after 13 hours of adventure.
We'll begin the experience by picking you up from your hotel in Cusco and heading toward Vinicunca Rainbow Mountain, one of Peru's most unique peaks. After about two hours of travel, we'll arrive in the picturesque town of Cusipata, where we'll enjoy a hearty breakfast to prepare us for the exciting hike up Rainbow Mountain. From there, we'll take a bus to Chillihuani to begin the ascent to 4,600 meters above sea level, following the guide's instructions and having the opportunity to encounter Andean wildlife.
After approximately one hour and forty-five minutes of climbing, we will reach the impressive Rainbow Mountain, also known as Vinicunca or Rainbow Mountain. Its majesty is so striking that it has been recognized as one of the 100 places you must see before you die, according to National Geographic. You will have time to capture this spectacular landscape before beginning the descent back to the bus, following the same ascent route.
On our return to Cusipata, a succulent buffet lunch awaits us as a well-deserved reward. Afterward, we'll head back to downtown Cusco, where we'll drop you off near the Plaza de Armas after a 14- to 15-hour excursion.
